THE DAD SNEAKER.

Somewhere between seriously cool and downright ugly; that is precisely where most of my favourite shoes fall, and these Stella McCartney sneakers are no exception.

These, however, are a far more subtle take on the “Dad sneaker” trend, dialling down the ugly and upping the chic just enough to be a passable addition to my wardrobe and an ideal companion for running around Sydney fashion week as I currently am.

Pared back with soft neutral tones and light, silky layers, they give that perfect balance of comfort and luxury edge without the very real ‘ick’ factor so many others are designed to give. I mean, I like ugly, but even I have my limits..
